Me O’clock is a movement that emphasizes self worth in the face of adversity. It is a constant reminder that time is of the essence and in order to help and care for others you must make sure to take care of yourself first. It provides people of all ages and ethnicities with the motivation and willingness to accomplish their goals, pursue their dreams, and overcome any obstacles. In the process of doing for one’s self, one recognizes one’s value. One realizes how much one has to offer; thus, establishing the confidence and ability to evoke positive change and aid in the well being of others.
Born and raised in the Bronx by a single mother, Jamie refused to become another statistic. It is with hard work and determination that he beat the odds. Jamie Parker is a man on a mission. Since earning his undergraduate degree and his master’s degree in biology from Lehman College, he has established himself in his profession as a scientific researcher at Albert Einstein Medical School and Columbia University. He started his business, Me O’clock, launched a career as a motivational speaker, and began a scholarship fund for Lehman college students. Parker does all of this while attending the university of Akron in Ohio, where he is enrolled in the PhD program in integrative biology.
ME O’CLOCK IS THE MOMENT SOMEONE REALIZES IT IS THEIR TIME IN LIFE, AND THEY WILL DO ALMOST ANYTHING IN THEIR POWER TO BE GREATER THAN THEY WERE YESTERDAY.
Me O’clock’s brand is stylish and trendy everyday wear. When you present a Me O’clock watch you are representing yourself; you are telling the world, “This is me and it’s my time”. Any one who has a Me O’clock watch is pushing a massive movement of positive change. We are reminding people to invest their time wisely on the things that will assist them in their personal growth as individuals. Change starts with the individual. If you want to see positive changes in your families, communities, jobs, schools, cities, countries, it all begins with you. You have to be on the ball and on top of your game 120 hours per week. If we all have this mentality, the world will make a shift in a positive direction.
“If you’re not working toward something–improving your mind in some way–then you are not growing as a person or as a professional.” It’s this confidence that Parker hopes to impart through his work mentoring adolescents on the cusp of adulthood, the prime focus for his scholarship, funded by purchases from meoclock.com.
Me O’clock’s scholarship was put in place to provide people with the financial opportunity to fund their dreams. Me O’clock values family and education. That’s why a portion of the proceeds will be allocated for academic scholarships once or more during an academic semester. Two scholarships have already been awarded. One to Andres Vega who is currently studying Engineering at City College. The Second Scholarship was awarded to Mark Davis who will be beginning his PhD at Drexel University this Fall.
